In lake Landösjön, located in Offerdal, approximately 38 miles north west of Östersund, Jämtland, Sweden, you can catch char, lake trout, pike, perch, whitefish, burbot, grayling and salmon trout.
Char fishing is predominant and the size of the fish normally varies from a few hectograms to 4-5 kilograms. The biggest char to have been caught in lake Landösjön weighed in at impressive 10.83 kilograms! Landösjön in the only swedish lake carrying two sport fishing reconds. In August 2007, a 10.83 kilogram char was caught and in June 2011 an 12.658 kilogram lake trout was caught.
